Your Outer World is a Result of Your Inner World

Life and death are in the power of the tongue: they that love it, shall eat the fruits thereof. ~ Proverbs 18:21

From August 2022 through March 2024 I was "going through some shit."

If you've been a reader of this blog for any period of time... you've noticed, I don't just talk about "fitness."

Why?

Because you're a human person who––like me––are probably "going through some shit" too. And as great as fitness is when it comes to personal development––and the denial of pleasure.

It represents ~6% of your humanity.

What about the rest?

That's the other 94% I'm more interested in sharing with you.

And of course, if you "just want the fitness stuff" and are not down with the content within the 94%. I respect your attention and you're welcome to ignore the upcoming series on rage.

If you decided to stick around, I want you to know... I'll always be REAL with you. I'll never paint this bullshit picture of my life as always being great.

That I'm always "to blessed to be depressed." 🙄

When I'm strugglin' I'm gonna let you know.

When I'm kicking life in the balls... I'm gonna let you know that too. The reason I'm sharing this with you is because...

... men have been conditioned to "suck it up."

To "quit being a little bitch."

And you know what?

There are times when this is the case––and the right tactic.

But what about when a man is wounded?

He's taught to "keep it in" and not share these things... to be content with being "good."

Guys who say they're "good."

Are NOT "good."

(Btw... "Good" ... is code for "I'm going through some shit but... I don't feel safe sharing it with you. Because I don't trust you, yet.")

Guys who are "good" are hurting the most.

You might even be "good" right now as you read this.

If you're telling people you're "good."

You're not.

So back to why I'm writing your this post. I wanted to share the intro of one of my favorite books I was reading as a result of what I was going through.

It's about, "Your Inner World."

(From the intro of "Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life" by: Brian Tracy)

Your Inner World

You see, brother...

Your outer world is a result of your inner world. I.e., your physical body is a direct printout of your thoughts and emotions.  Wilhelm Reich said, "the body is the mind." Meaning, your physical body will look and feel exactly the way you think.

Are you fat and over weight?

(It's ok to admit. I was FAT, overweight, and undisciplined Spring of 2021. Which was a reflection of the rage going on inside.)

Do a mental assessment.

What's the meaning you're giving your thoughts about food and exercise?

Are you getting injured over and over?

Something is going on inside.

Can't hold down a job? Maybe you're in the same place as you were 5-10 years ago?

What stories are you telling yourself?

And what's the meaning you're giving those stories?

We live in a created universe governed by laws.

And one of the most universal laws is the Law of Correspondence. This law is based on a simple formula which can be observed through 2,000+ years of ancient writings.

"1:1 FORMULA"

The formula is, "As within, so without."

The world around you is a mirror which reflects back to you, your dominant thoughts. How (and the way) you talk about yourself... manifests itself in physical reality.

Essentially, your outer world corresponds to your inner world (I.e., your thoughts and emotions). Take a look at the people around you. People who are overweight, weak, fragile, etc.

It's an outward representation of their inner world.

If you're not happy with what is being mirrored back to you... ask yourself...

"What is it in me?"

Everything you see in your outer world is coming from YOU, it's coming from ME. We are our own worst enemy. John Eldredge calls this "the traitor within," your shadow, the dark side of you whom always uses your past failures against you. Matthew's gospel calls out this "traitor within."

And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but not the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can kill both the soul and body in Gehenna. ~ Matthew 10:28

This is you and I. This is who Christ came to save us from.

OURSELVES!

God will never kill or condemn our soul. Satan cannot kill us nor has power over our soul. WE are the only ones with the power to kill both body and soul. And we do this slowly with our words, thoughts and emotions.

Don't talk about things you don't want.

Talk and think only about... the things you want more of.

Remember.

"What's going on outside of you is a reflection of what is going on inside of you."

How we feel and talk about ourselves... manifests into it's physical equivalent. This was a big reminder for me with what I had going on. Hope it helps you out.

Gotta run.

... and as always.

Thanks for reading.

Btw...

I'll be picking up where I left off with the "Rage series" next Thursday, 20 February 2025. Got some good stuff to share with ya.

P.S. Don't forget.

The battle is always for the MIND––Element #1 of being a strong man in todays weak society. Which is why it's the first series of lessons we take the men of our coaching program through.

[To be continued...]

UPDATE: 20 February 2025
